Saved by zero

It's no problem for me to use up my points allowance each day PLUS the extra points I'm allowed each week. Thank God for zero point snacks!! They are my saving grace most nights. And there's a bunch to choose from. My faves are the raw veggie snacks. I heart veggies!! I can thank my mom for that. She usually had veggies for us for dinner as kids, maybe not the fresh kind but hey, it's better than none at all.

I'm not much of a fruit girl, though I am coming around and finding myself buying more apples and grapes lately. I've found that I really like Gala apples. I actually bought some strawberries the other day because I wanted to try a peanut butter and strawberry sandwich that somebody told me about. Sounded funky at first but when you think that you're just substituting the fresh strawberries for the strawberry jam then it really made sense.

I made the Weight Watchers version of fish and chips last night. It was deee-lish!!! I even got the "oh baby, that's really good" from my husband and I don't get that too often. So I'll definitely be making it again. Click here for the recipe.

Well, as of last night I've officially shed a total of 12.4 lbs. Yay me!! I can't tell you how great it feels to fit in my clothes, absolutely amazing. I'm not through but I'm thankful for the progress I've made thus far and will have to continue to take it one day at a time. Slow and steady wins the race, right? It's hard to go at a tortoise pace when you live in a hare-brained world. ;-)
